Startup and technology conference TechChill Baltics, which will take place for the fifth year and will gather about 500 technology enterprise representatives and enthusiasts from the region, will focus on business development, growth and strenghtening the startup communes. In collaboration with Twino, a peer to peer lending platform, the conferences paneldiscussion will focus on new companies from the field of finance technology, also known as fintech, taking in account the fields rapid growth and potential in Baltic startup commune development.
TechChill Baltics Fintech paneldiscussion will gather such people as Nilan Peiris, the vice-president of growth of the international money transfer platform, Mārtiņš Bērziņš, co-founder and CEO of payment application Monea and James Wise, partner of Balderon Capital. Discussion will be moderated by the CEO of Twino Jevgeņijs Kazaņins. During the discussion the participants will share their experience on how profitable it is to create a startup in the Baltics region, what are the disadvantages and what has be done to promote finance technology innovations in the region.

Finance technology startups in Baltics experiences rapid growth partly thanks to the Estonian money transfer platforms TransferWise successful example, which has earned recognition and is believed to be one of the biggest success stories in the recent years. Startup experts and investors have repeateldy emphasized the Baltics potential in the finance technology field, which is being reflected in the created fintech companies who have, in the recent years, successfully developed and attracted customers. In the startup mastercalss TechHub Academy, which will take a day before the TechChill conference and give a chance to fight for the title of the years best startup. Two from 10 businesses, which withstood the competition of 50 teams, will represent the finance technology field.

Startup and technology conference TechChill Baltics 2016 will take place in Riga and in just a week will gather about 500 participants, including new entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts, international investors and media.
