Only three weeks to go till the Rietumu Fintech Challenge 2017. Soon we will find out names of the selected teams. Stanislav Ivanov, Founder of Tera Ventures and Investment Manager at SmartCap. Stanislav has been investing in technology startups for more than 6 years and his track record includes some of the most remarkable high-tech companies in Estonia: Jobbatical (cross-border hiring platform), Monese (UK mobile only bank), Scoro (work management SaaS), VitalFields (farm management Saas), Defendec (remote premises surveillance technology), Thinnect (mesh network service platform). Stanislav is an ex-IBMer, has a background from telecom and information technology industries having led teams involved in innovative projects such as bringing early mobile services to the market in late 1990s. He is a mentor at various incubators and accelerators.
Cristobal Alonso is the Global Capo of Startup Wise Guys – Europe’s leading B2B accelerator and the leading acceleration platform for global founders and preferred deal flow partner for VC funds in Northern Europe and the CEE. Cristobal’s unique background combines extensive CxO experience while working for different mobile operators in Europe, as well as leading several transformations and turnarounds. He has CEO startup experience both in B2B and B2C environments. Cristobal truly understands challenges and pressures of both - corporate and startup world – that he loves to leverage these days at Startup Wise Guys. Cristobal has a degree in business administration and an MBA by world leading’s business school INSEAD. Rietumu FinTech Challenge 2017 participants will have a great chance to meet him in person!
